3D POINT CLOUD
3D POINT CLOUD is produced from each individual scan which is then digitally combined together to provide a full 3D model of the building and every object in the scanned area. It's possible to provide detailed internal or external elevations with a high level of detail. Cross sections and sectional elevations can be viewed once the point cloud data has been rendered, extremely accurate floor plans and cross sections can be drawn. When a site has been surveyed using 3D laser measured survey scanning techniques, a return site visit will not be needed. We use the most modern 3D laser equipment in order to produce the most accurate and detailed plans as possible to guarantee an extremely high level of accuracy regardless of the building type.
Process Explained
1. 3D Laser Scanning Measured Survey on Site
Professional Surveyor conducting the scan on site. Typically it takes about 3-6 hours, subject to project specifications.
After the survey on the site is completed we have hundreds of millions of 3D points captured of the scanned area. All measurements get converted into a single point cloud file which works as a background reference to create any plans required.

2. Extracting Files
Using specialised software we process all scans, register and combined together into one file. The result is a point cloud, record of hundreds of millions 3D laser points combined together in x, y and z axis - highly accurate representation of all shapes and forms of real buildings and objects in the scanned area.
3. File Formats/Software
Use Point Cloud in any software like Autodesk Recap or CAD for any purposes from visualising to taking any measurements from a point cloud, virtual tours of scanned data etc.
